It’s time for reparations
Brace yourself, boomers, it’s time to pay up. You guys are not going to like it, but you owe us a lot. We did it, we sacrificed everything for you folks, and now you need to hand over some cash — quite a lot of cash.
For some, the reparations will be too late — they’ve already killed themselves. But for the rest of us, you need to cover our costs and slip some under the table as a big fat thank you.
I’m talking hundreds of billions. Pension pots raided, inheritance tax up up up and houses taken when you die — sold back to us at a nice hefty discount. I won’t beat around the bush — I want pretty much everything you have. You made our lives not worth living — now it’s your turn — partly practical, partly vindictive.
I know it’s hard to hear — perhaps you think it’s not fair. Tough — nothing’s free in life, especially not the imprisonment of millions who faced no harm from Covid.
So how will these ‘reparations’ work. Pretty simple — we take most of your savings, tax your inheritance and take your house once you die. We’ll use the money to invest in young people: better schools, no tuition fees, building houses, mental health support, supplementary income for low paying jobs.
You’re going to really hate it. The problem is, we don’t care.
